SUBJECT: Gotta Pack!

Hi all,

Today has been full of craziness. I’ve had so many errands to run and I haven’t even started packing yet. Urgh! I am excited about our trip. I’ve never been to Amsterdam so this is going to be awesome.

I will definitely miss you all this week. Please feel free to meet up in the Members Only Live Cam Chat tomorrow night even though I’m not going to be there. :)

I’ve got to go and pack now so I’ll talk to you all tomorrow. I’ll make sure and post a journal entry before I leave. We depart tomorrow and won’t arrive in Amsterdam until the following day. We’re supposed to have high-speed internet access in our hotel room so hopefully I’ll be able to update my journal while we’re away. :)

Have a great night and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!

Allie:
have a safe and enjoyable trip to Amsterdam. Was there 10 years ago for 3 weeks. It's an amazing city and country. Besides Alan's comments, try and go out to DELFT - great city and of course the fine china shops and artisans. Also, the train service it terrific; Dusseldorf is only a couple of hrs away and has more bars/shops than any city I've seen. it's where everyone goes to shop. Touring the flower marts is also great; although, might be the wrong time of year. Finally, we enjoyed the musuems (can you say Van Gogh); as well as on the canel boats; especially seeing how the buildings "tilt" into each other.

Hi Allie

One other thing, watch out for the bicycle riders. They are everywhere. There are more bikes than cars in the centre and around the canals.
Oh Jake watch out Amsterdam is a big big diamond centre. could cost ya if Allie goes shopping (wink* Allie).

Have a safe flight and enjoy the European culture but most of all keep safe.

Hi Mitch, Thank you very much! You guys have given me so much information about Amsterdam that I can't wait to get over there. I really hope we have plenty of extra time to check out everything. Thanks for the tips on what to see! I really appreciate that. Have a great day and I'll see you guys next week!

Hi Alan, I've heard that the main source of transportation is a bike. I hope I don't get run over by one. Wow, wouldn't that be a way to go? hehe. WooHoo, Diamonds - a girl's best friend. Jake's gonna love you for that one. :) Thanks for the comment and have a great day!
